Introduction
Safeguarding is everybody’s business. Keeping vulnerable people safe is at the core of “patient care by people who care”. The Safeguarding policy is intended for implementation by all BrisDoc employees, both clinical and non-clinical. It also applies to self-employed contractors.
The policy has guidance on
- BrisDoc processes for Safeguarding Adults at Risk, Safeguarding Children, Prevent, Female
- Genital Mutilation and Non-mobile Baby Injury (NMBI).
- Safeguarding can be wide-ranging, complex and difficult. Signs can be obvious or much more subtle. Serious safeguarding cases are thankfully rare, but “soft” signs can be the harbinger. All
staff must be eternally vigilant.
