Health and Wellbeing Overview

Wellbeing Survey Insights

2023/24 marked the third anniversary of our quarterly wellbeing ‘temperature check’ survey, leveraging the Short Warwick Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (SWEMWBS). The survey results over the past year have consistently indicated moderate to positive wellbeing levels among BrisDoc staff. This tool not only provides us with valuable insights but also encourages our team to self-reflect and seek support proactively.

Our Voice Survey Feedback

In our annual Our Voice survey, a resounding 97.9% of our co-owners expressed confidence in BrisDoc’s support for resolving wellbeing concerns. This is a testament to the effectiveness of our wellbeing initiatives and their integration into our organisational culture.

Employee Support Programs

Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) continues to be a cornerstone of support, providing guidance on a range of issues. In 2023, we’ve observed a notable uptick in the use of EAP services, which cover counselling, wellbeing coaching, and bespoke support.

Financial Wellbeing Support

Financial support has been a key focus, with initiatives like Cost-of-Living payments, a detailed Cost-of-Living Handbook, Credit Union access, Salary Sacrifice Schemes, and commitment to the Real Living Wage. Additionally, the introduction of Shine, a reward and recognition platform, has brought exclusive discounts and savings to our co-owners.

Social and Community Engagement

Our wellbeing social group plays a crucial role in cultivating a sense of community, organising events that allow staff to forge meaningful connections. The Shine platform also recognises and celebrates the accomplishments of our team, promoting an inclusive and engaging work environment.

Future Wellbeing Strategies

A comprehensive review of our wellbeing strategies is planned. We aim to refine our programs, strengthen our wellbeing culture, and embed a holistic wellbeing approach across all facets of BrisDoc’s operations.
