Commitment to Patient Safety and Feedback
Annual Safety Survey Insights
BrisDoc has once again participated in the annual Urgent Care UK (UHUK) survey, assessing organisational cultures with respect to patient safety. Completed by staff across various out-of-hours service providers across the country, the survey enables benchmarking against peers. With 180 responses from our team, we’ve maintained a positive outlook. Our 2023 score of 83 surpasses the UHUK average of 74, echoing our ongoing commitment to prioritising patient care and safety, as well as learning from any service shortfalls.
Embedding a Learning Culture
Our culture of reporting and learning is well-established, as evidenced by consistent monthly submissions. Each report is thoroughly examined to identify and share learning points. This ethos extends to learning derived from complaints, with insights disseminated constructively and reporters updated on the outcomes.
Valuing Patient Feedback
Patient and service user feedback remains crucial to us. Enhancing our digital survey reach has yielded a steady flow of responses, complemented by traditional postal methods. Our Patient Group representatives continue to influence survey design, ensuring we capture a wide range of feedback.
Pleasingly, survey results indicate that an average of 89% of respondents rate our services as ‘Very Good’ or ‘Good’, reflecting the trust and satisfaction in the care we provide.
